The charging holster utilizes a built-in 4000 mAh GTS NEOCELL^® battery to continuously charge the computer’s internal battery, maximizing the runtime and performance. The holster provides three times the runtime over traditional batteries.

The charging holster simplifies field use of MC55 and MC65 devices. It eliminates the need for separate chargers and accessories. It operates as a desktop charger, an in-vehicle charger, and can recharge from a USB port. It removes the need for cradle chargers, fabric holsters, spare batteries, and auto charge cables. The HMC55-H costs less than 40% of the list price of the accessories it replaces, saving customers considerable expense.

The HMC55-H is the second generation of charging holsters from GTS. Charging holsters for MC70 and MC75 devices were released in 2009.
