NATICK, Mass. - Global Technology Systems announced today that it has released for general sale its innovative Patriot KVL30 Adapter previously only available through government contract.

The Patriot KVL Adapter (part number HKVL30-ADP) is a patented device designed to link the Motorola® KVL/3000/3000+ Radio Keyloader with the H8610-LI high capacity lithium ion rechargeable battery. When attached to the Keyloader device, the adapter allows the device to be powered by any XTS3000 or XTS5000 radio battery. When paired with
H8610-Li high capacity lithium ion rechargeable battery the Keyloader is provided over 3 times the run time of the Keyloader's standard 1200mAh NiCad battery pack (NTN7394B).

According to Bill Minear, Government Sales Manager for Global Technology Systems, "The KVL Adapter was designed to meet a particular need of one of our Department of Justice customers. They were frustrated by the underperformance of the KVL's NiCad battery and wanted a solution that would let them utilize their fleet of high capacity XTS batteries. Our KVL Adapter gives them more than 3 times the run time of their KVL's while allowing them to use their existing XTS batteries and charging infrastructure."

With the KVL Adapter, they can now leave behind the KVL specific chargers as the KVL can now be charged with their XTS3000 or 5000 chargers."
